Benton Marriage Probate Vital Records

The Saline County Clerk issues and records marriage licenses, records probate files, serves as official record keeper of county government, and works with election administration. A Saline County marriage license costs $60. It is valid for 60 days from issuance and must be returned used or unused within 60 days for recording. Card payments add a $3 processing fee, and local checks must meet the county's local-address and bank rules.

Probate and small-estate filings also start at the County Clerk's office. The listed filing cost is $165 for probate and $25 for a small estate, with the same $3 card processing fee. Benton Deed Alerts and Act 752

Saline County's recent property-record work adds a timely records-system detail. A county notice says Act 752 of 2025 took effect August 5, 2025, for deeds submitted in person or by mail. Deeds must be presented by the grantor or a signer on the grantor's behalf, with valid government photo ID. Mailed deeds need a photocopy, and deeds without proper ID are rejected unless an exemption applies.

The same notice points to the county's Property Fraud Alert service. It monitors names or property in the Recorder's Office and sends email, text, or phone alerts when a related transaction is recorded. The county cautions that it is an early-warning system, not fraud prevention.

Benton Records Fee Map
